Tailoroo is built in the UAE by Pandoratech — a software company that has run point-of-sale and ERP systems for Gulf businesses since 2012. We built it because we kept meeting tailors who deserved better tools than a notebook and a chat thread.
Why we built Tailoroo
We spent years implementing business software across the Emirates and kept meeting the same tailoring owners: master craftsmen in Deira, Al Ain and Sharjah running serious ateliers on a measurement notebook, a personal WhatsApp number and a cashbox for deposits. Orders lived in chat threads. Measurements lived in a notebook only one person could read. Fittings were agreed by voice note — and forgotten by the time the customer drove across town.
The global tools they tried were not built for this trade. Generic POS systems had no place for a kandura’s collar height or an abaya’s sleeve length. Fitting appointments, the customer’s own fabric, deposits against bespoke work — none of it fit. There was no Arabic interface for the workshop, no FTA-compliant tax invoice at the counter, and support teams asleep during Gulf business hours. Wedding season and the pre-Eid rush — the weeks that make a tailor’s year — were handled on memory and good intentions.
Tailoroo is our answer: a POS and production system that treats Arabic as a first-class citizen, prints a compliant UAE tax invoice by default, knows the difference between a first fitting and a final one, and is answered by humans in your timezone. It ships with 14 measurement templates and 84 measurement points, a nine-stage production pipeline from cutting to delivery, scheduled fittings and home visits, and WhatsApp updates your customers actually read.
Just as important is what it does not ask of you. There is no server in the back room, no IT contractor on retainer, no end-of-day export to a spreadsheet. A tailor opens the counter on a phone or a till, the workshop follows the board, and the owner sees every branch from wherever they happen to be.

What “built for the Gulf” actually means
Arabic is not a translation
The whole interface mirrors right-to-left — layout, numbers, receipts and customer notifications — and the catalog is bilingual from kandura to sherwani. The cutter works in Arabic, the cashier in English, the owner in both. Each staff member picks a language per login, and receipts print in the customer’s.
Compliance is the default
Every receipt is an FTA-compliant tax invoice: your 15-digit TRN, sequential invoice numbers and 5% VAT in AED, with credit notes that reference the original. Simplified receipts for walk-ins, full tax invoices for corporate accounts — and GCC rates for KSA, Bahrain and Oman are ready when you expand.
The calendar we live by
Tailoring in the Gulf runs on occasions: the pre-Eid kandura rush, Ramadan evening fittings, wedding-season sherwanis and bishts, National Day uniforms. Tailoroo’s reports surface those seasonal patterns from your own order history, so staffing and fabric buying are planned, not guessed.
